Moving your store to a new platform is one of the riskiest jobs in eCommerce. Done badly, you lose search rankings, break customer logins and lose order history overnight. We migrate UK stores between Magento, WooCommerce, OpenCart and Shopify, and we plan the SEO side, from URLs to redirects, as carefully as the data.

Why Choose Us

We build on all of these platforms, so we know where each one stores its data and what doesn't map cleanly. Every migration gets a full URL inventory and a 301 redirect map before anything goes live, and a test store you can check yourself. If the move isn't right for you, for example a simple upgrade would do, we'll say so.

Our Store Migration Process

1

Audit & Plan

We inventory products, customers, orders, URLs, extensions and integrations, then plan the move.

2

Build & Import

The new store is built and your data imported, cleaned and checked.

3

Redirects & SEO

Every old URL mapped to its new home, with metadata and structured data carried over.

4

Switchover

Final data sync, go-live, then Search Console and sales monitoring in the weeks after.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I lose my Google rankings?

A well-planned migration keeps most rankings, but there's always some risk. The biggest causes of losses are missing redirects and changed content, so we map every old URL with a 301 redirect and keep your page titles, descriptions and content in place.

Can you move customer accounts and order history?

Usually, yes. Products, categories, customers and orders can be migrated between most platforms. Customer passwords often can't be transferred because of how they're encrypted, so customers may need to reset them, and we plan that message with you.

Should I leave Magento?

It depends on your version and budget. Magento 2.4.6 reached the end of regular support in August 2026 and 2.4.7 follows in May 2027, so many Open Source stores need either an upgrade or a move. We'll compare both honestly.

Which platform should I migrate to?

Shopify suits shops that want hosted simplicity, OpenCart suits stores that want control without monthly platform fees, and WooCommerce suits WordPress users. We'll recommend based on your catalogue, integrations and running costs.

How long does a migration take?

It depends on catalogue size, custom features and integrations. A straightforward store is quicker than one with years of custom extensions. We'll give you a clear timeline after the audit.

Do you handle OpenCart 3 to 4 upgrades?

Yes. An upgrade is a type of migration too, because themes and extensions often need rebuilding. We've written a guide to what's involved.
