1. Introduction

These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by AAM Services (Company Registration: ), operating as a remote web development agency across the United Kingdom.

By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.

2. Services

We provide the following web development services:

  • eCommerce development (OpenCart, WooCommerce, Magento)
  • Custom web applications (SvelteKit, Node.js)
  • API development and third-party integrations (FeathersJS)
  • Website maintenance and Care Plans
  • Technical consultation and audits

3. Quotes and Pricing

All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT unless marked otherwise.

We reserve the right to amend quotes if:

  • The project requirements change from the original scope
  • Additional work is required beyond the initial specification
  • Third-party costs (hosting, licenses) have changed since the quote was issued

Any changes to scope will be documented and agreed with you before proceeding.

4. Project Process

Our development process typically includes discovery, design, development, testing, and launch phases. Specific milestones and deliverables will be outlined in your project proposal.

We work collaboratively and require timely feedback at key stages. Delays in providing feedback or content may affect project timelines.

5. Payment

Payment terms vary by project size:

  • Projects under £2,000: 50% deposit, 50% on completion
  • Projects £2,000-£10,000: 40% deposit, 40% midway, 20% on completion
  • Projects over £10,000: Custom milestone-based payments
  • Care Plans: Monthly in advance by Direct Debit or bank transfer

Invoices are payable within 14 days unless otherwise agreed. We accept bank transfer and major credit/debit cards.

6. Intellectual Property

Upon full payment, you own the custom code and design work created specifically for your project. We retain ownership of:

  • Our proprietary tools, libraries, and frameworks
  • Pre-existing code and components
  • General concepts, techniques, and know-how

Third-party components (themes, plugins, libraries) remain subject to their respective licenses.

7. Warranties

We warrant our development work for 30 days after launch for bug fixes related to the agreed specification. This does not cover:

  • Changes or additions to the original scope
  • Issues caused by third-party modifications
  • Problems arising from your hosting environment
  • Third-party software updates or deprecation

Extended support and maintenance is available through our Care Plans.

8. Liability

We take reasonable care in delivering our services. However, we are not liable for:

  • Loss of business, revenue, or profits
  • Data loss (you are responsible for backups)
  • Third-party service outages or failures
  • Security breaches resulting from your actions
  • Consequential or indirect losses

Our total liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service in question. We maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance.

9. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate project requirements and content
  • Provide timely feedback during the development process
  • Ensure you have rights to any content or materials you provide
  • Maintain appropriate backups of your data
  • Pay for services as agreed
  • Comply with applicable laws regarding your website's content and use

10. Cancellation

Either party may terminate a project with 14 days written notice. If you cancel:

  • You pay for all work completed to date
  • Any deposits are non-refundable unless we are in breach
  • We will provide handover of completed work upon payment

11. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any proprietary information shared during the project. This includes business strategies, technical details, and user data.

12. Data Protection

We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

13. Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our service, please contact us as soon as possible so we can address your concerns. We aim to resolve all complaints fairly and promptly.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by English law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. Changes do not apply retroactively to existing contracts.
