Getting Started
How do I get started with a new project?
Simply get in touch via our quote form or email us at [email protected]. We'll arrange a discovery call to understand your requirements, then provide a detailed proposal with timeline and investment.
What information do you need to provide a quote?
We need to understand your business goals, target audience, key features you need, any existing branding/assets, your timeline, and approximate budget range. The more detail you can provide, the more accurate our quote will be.
How long does a typical project take?
Timelines vary based on complexity. A brochure website typically takes 4-6 weeks, an eCommerce store 6-10 weeks, and custom platforms 8-16+ weeks. We'll provide a specific timeline in your proposal after understanding your requirements.
Do you work with businesses outside the UK?
Yes, we work with clients globally. As a fully remote agency, we're set up to collaborate effectively across time zones using modern communication and project management tools.
eCommerce Development
Which eCommerce platform do you recommend?
It depends on your specific needs. OpenCart is excellent for straightforward stores with good performance. WooCommerce integrates seamlessly if you need WordPress. Magento suits larger catalogues with complex requirements. We'll recommend the best fit during our discovery process.
Can you migrate my existing store to a new platform?
Yes, we regularly handle platform migrations. We'll migrate your products, customers, orders, and content while minimising downtime. We also handle 301 redirects to preserve your SEO rankings.
Do you provide ongoing eCommerce support?
Absolutely. Our Care Plans include regular updates, security patches, performance monitoring, and priority support. We also offer ad-hoc support for stores not on a care plan.
Can you integrate my store with accounting or inventory systems?
Yes, we build custom integrations with systems like Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and various inventory management platforms. We use FeathersJS to build robust APIs that keep your systems in sync.
Custom Development
What is SvelteKit and why do you use it?
SvelteKit is a modern web framework that produces incredibly fast, lightweight websites. Unlike React or Vue, Svelte compiles your code at build time, resulting in smaller bundles and better performance. This means faster load times and better Core Web Vitals scores.
What is FeathersJS and when would I need it?
FeathersJS is an API framework we use to build real-time backends. If you need user authentication, database operations, real-time updates, or integration with third-party services, FeathersJS provides a solid, scalable foundation.
Can you build multi-user platforms and portals?
Yes, we specialise in custom platforms including client portals, booking systems, membership sites, and internal business tools. We handle user authentication, role-based permissions, and complex workflows.
Do you build mobile apps?
We focus on web applications, but we can build Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) that work offline and can be installed on mobile devices. For native app requirements, we can recommend trusted partners.
Pricing & Payment
How much does a website cost?
Our projects typically start from £1,500 for a simple brochure site, £4,000+ for eCommerce stores, and £10,000+ for custom platforms. We provide detailed quotes based on your specific requirements—no hidden costs.
What are your payment terms?
For projects under £2,000: 50% deposit, 50% on completion. For larger projects: 40% deposit, 40% at midpoint, 20% on completion. Custom milestones can be arranged for enterprise projects. Care Plans are billed monthly in advance.
Do you offer monthly payment plans?
Our Care Plans are billed monthly. For project work, we can sometimes arrange milestone-based payments spread over the project timeline. Let us know your requirements and we'll try to accommodate.
What do your Care Plans include?
Care Plans include regular software updates, security monitoring, uptime monitoring, regular backups, performance checks, and priority support. Higher tiers include development hours for ongoing improvements and content updates.
Process & Support
How do you manage projects?
We use modern project management tools to keep everything organised and transparent. You'll have access to see progress, provide feedback, and communicate with our team. We hold regular check-ins throughout the project.
Will I be able to update my own website?
Yes, we build content management into most projects so you can update text, images, and products yourself. We provide training and documentation. For more complex changes, that's where our Care Plans come in.
What happens after launch?
We provide 30 days of bug-fix support after launch as standard. Beyond that, we recommend a Care Plan for ongoing maintenance, security updates, and support. We're here for the long term, not just the launch.
Do you provide hosting?
We can recommend and set up hosting, but we don't typically provide it directly. This gives you full control and avoids vendor lock-in. We'll advise on the best hosting for your specific tech stack and traffic levels.
